Parco Naturale dei Laghi di Avigliana - Anello dei laghi di Avigliana

Ring of the Lakes of Avigliana

LINK

The route starts from the Avigliana railway station and immediately enters the heart of its historic center, among medieval streets and views that seem frozen in time. It then reaches the charming Piazza Conte Rosso, with its arcades and characteristic well.
From here, the path climbs slightly towards the remains of the Castle of Avigliana, from which you can enjoy a 360° panoramic view.
The route then continues towards Lake Grande of Avigliana, passing by the Park House and the remains of the old Nobel dynamite factory, with the lake on one side and the natural marsh area on the other. It proceeds along the village of Giorgetti and crosses the road to Giaveno.
From there, you enter a nature trail that runs along the entire Lake Piccolo of Avigliana up to the picnic area. After a short climb towards the hamlet of Sada, the route returns to Avigliana on a slightly more rugged path, with ups and downs and gravel roads, until reaching the historic center again and finally the station.
In short: a beautiful loop combining history, nature, and scenic views—perfect for a varied and never boring walk.
